Preparing a territorial review
Define the area boundary and the restrictions requiring consultation of relevant official datasets. Record each dataset's date and scale.
A mapped overlap requires contextual and regulatory review; no overlap in one view does not prove the absence of restrictions. Document uncertainties before arranging access or fieldwork.
Scope and limits
The public map offers the three controls listed in the guide. BTR resources, mining processes, indigenous lands, protected areas and other technical layers are not available as additional controls in this interface. Describing a dataset or method does not mean that feature is available in the public product.
For area-specific decisions, check the relevant official dataset, date, scale and limitations. The BTR Map does not replace regulatory checks or technical review.
